Extremely satisfied with Mconnect Service. They have many different features that the bigger VoIP companies offer at a cheaper rate. They also have a support team that is very friendly and work efficiently to fix any problems I’ve experienced in the past. Its much nicer not having to jump through hoops to talk to someone in the support department like brighthouse and other telecommunication companies.
Based out of Longwood, FL, MConnect specializes in providing both residential and business users with VoIP service. In doing so, users connect to the provider’s high speed, broadband Internet connect and use it to make and receive calls. Users can choose to connect via cable or DSL modem or by using the provider’s ATA/Router along with any regular telephone or softphone. With their business solution, MConnect offers users Standard Business Lines, Premium Business Lines, SIP Trunking, a host of standard business VoIP features (vary between standard lines, premium lines, and SIP Trunks)—i.e. do not disturb, call forwarding, call hold, call intercept, etc.—and fax services ($9.95/month plus $19.95 one time activation fee). With their residential solution, MConnect offers Voice Connect Plus ($14.95/month), Max Connect ($24.95/month), which includes messaging features, and Select Connect—which is ideal for Small/Home Office use. Residential services also include a host of features—i.e. web portal, do not disturb, call transfer, call hold, call return, call trace, etc. Aside from basic pricing of both business and residential plans, there are additional charges for some services and all add-on features. These include 411 directory assistance ($1.50 for each occurrence), Operator Assistance ($1.50 for each occurrence), International long distance (see rates), Phone Number Porting ($15.00), One-Time fee for any customer premise equipment costs including shipping and handling, a la carte items, and any activation fees. All business and residential plans DO feature unlimited local and long distance calling to the US, US territories, and Canada. Aside from service, MConnect also offers various hardwares too. In regard to customer support, MConnect offers VoIP troubleshooting guide, account portal, FAQs, installation guides, configuration guides, as well as email support. Support is available Sunday through Saturday from 8:30am to 10:00pm EST.
