They have to be one of the worst…

They have to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Bought the system for my kids to have a phone that can be split. System didn’t work most of the time, when it did work the call quality was horrendous. Worked with their support multiple times, all they do is blame the internet connection (Rogers cable, 250mb and runs perfectly). Cancelled the service and settled up. About a year later they renewed the cancelled service and the collection calls started, I tried to work with them to resolve but they insisted on me paying $300 for a service I hadn’t used. I refused and sent the cancellation proof. They didn’t accept it. The collection calls have continued and they have even reported me to creditors. Don’t care as my credit is great even with this. Stay far away from these scam artists.

Was having reliability problems with my…

Was having reliability problems with my previous provider and decided to try Phone Power with my existing Obi202. The price was almost double what i was paying before, but they promised me the service and reliability made it worth it. Started off by setting up my SIP credentials only to find that the reliability got much worse compared to my old provider. Phone Power recommends using their auto-provisioning feature instead of SIP, so I tried it out. Much better except for one thing: you can only have one line working on the Obi202 (which normally allows up to two lines). The next thing I notice is that when you get an email regarding a voice mail, there’s no way to delete that message unless you log into the site (which is slow as molasses). My previous provider offered a way to listen and delete messages directly from a link in the email. Finally, I didn’t notice until I signed up that there’s no SMS texting feature or even the option to add it. You may not think this is important, but I can almost guarantee you that friends are sending you text messages from their phones — assuming that they’re reaching your mobile phone instead of your landline. So overall I give it a thumbs up for reliability, but you miss out on a lot of features just to have your calls go through. Personally, the lack of an SMS texting option and the inability to use a second line on my Obi is a deal breaker for me, so I’ll need to give it a thumbs down.

Pros: Good reliability if you use auto-provisioning on a VoIP phone adapter.
Cons: Auto-provisioning only allows for a single line on VoIP phone adapters. Using SIP credentials is very unreliable. Can delete voicemails from email notifications. Requires that you log in. No SMS messaging feature. Slow website.

The phone will work fine one day, then you cant call out the next day. They were good for about 2 years then in 2018 the service started giving random error messages. Calls to tech support indicated they “knew about a issue and had no idea when it would be fixed” This is not acceptable, and take your money elsewhere for phone service!

I have been using Phone Power for about 6 years. AT&T was ripping me off. I love the web interface with all of the features. Issues I had were due to my ISP (AT&T) and not Phone Power. Great support! I even used the soft phone feature while traveling in Europe to avoid costly international cell phone rates. Highly recommended if you need a land line at a low cost.

Do NOT believe a word…Horrible …

Do NOT believe a word… Horrible service and product very unreliable. Run! Run! Run! Used them for 2 1/2 years with promises that it will get better. Finally, when I had enough they said I had to pay a penalty because they had no records of my problems. I don’t know what is worse; lying about me calling over 2 years or the fact that they don’t have any records of me calling. Save yourself a lot of headache and find a different company!

This is one of the most incompetent…

This is one of the most incompetent companies. We setup a date to cancel with them and I was told it would be cancelled in two weeks and we wouldn’t be charged for the next month. We were indeed charged for the next month and when i called them they said our account wasn’t scheduled to be cancelled. We also sent back our equipment to the address they provide on the FAQ’s and they said they never received it and we would be charged. A week later they told us they had received the equipment. They have been very unpleasant to work with and the quality of the service is extremely poor. Don’t waste your time with this company.

RUN FAST FROM THIS COMPANY…

RUN FAST FROM THIS COMPANY. We had them (in process of switching over now) for around 2 months and from day ONE, our service is horrible. Call drops mid conversation, static on lines, lines lit up for hours, days, weeks and no one is on the lines at all. We have to use our cell phones just to operate a business right now. Between our tech guy and spending loads of money on him to help us fix it, the provider we used when signed up and our internet provider, NOONE can fix it. They give us possible solutions, we try them and still its terrible and unreliable. We started the cancellation process after less than a month with them and constant problems- and this joke of a company refuses to let us out of a contract. Doesn’t matter that we lost a potential new customer with a first order of over $50K because they couldn’t get through to us. Doesn’t matter that I have loads of documentation supporting the constant problems. Doesn’t matter that we were having problems since the beginning. They can continue to bill us all they want, we will NOT pay them one more dime. They are ruthless and they have terrible customer service and policies in place. The customer is just a big money sign to them- no compassion or desire whatsoever to back their product/service and do what is right when it does not work.

Call quality is great, service is not reliable…

I currently have phonepower service. I have two different brand cordless set connected to two lines. The call quality is great, however the service is not reliable. I am not very pleased with the interface setting up call forwarding/simultaneous ringing through web interface. Very confusing and not straight forward. I am not going to renew after 2 year service. Almost every month I see phonepower technical difficulties such as (out of service for an hour or can’t dial toll free numbers). I don’t like this kinda interruption. Otherwise, I stayed an hour long interview and then stayed hour long outgoing call and received long calls all worked backed to back fine with crystal clear call quality. I have downstream(30mbps) and upstream(3mbps) any given point which is exceptionally good for decent call quality. I would not recommend phonepower right at this time, let them polish up their quality and then worth trying.

Lots of options

I really like Phone Power and all its options. Couldn’t even get that through the AT&T and especially Magic Jack which people should be weary of.

Saving $60/mo

I’m saving over $60/mo! My AT&T bill for a single land line was over $72/mo. My two-year plan with PhonePower comes to $11.41/mo.

Huge savings, about $40-$50 a month. Setup was not that easy for me. I work from home on a VPN connection and with the adapter connected as preferred, I could log on to VPN but could not access certain functions like work email. with it hooked up from modem to router to adapter VPN worked great but the phone kept dropping off. Neither Phone Power techs or my company’s IT were any help so I kept playing until I figured out that that adapter needed to be in switch mode instead of router mode. Since then everything has been working as advertised.

Big savings

I was looking to lower my monthly home phone bill. After researching the various Voip providers, Phone Power came out on top. The equipment arrived quickly and setup was a snap. Features and call quality are phenomenal.

Love blocking telemarketers

Excellent price, easy set up, numerous amazing features, great website… Especially love blocking telemarketers…Only hate and annoyed having to unplug to reset too often when no calls are getting through… Otherwise, very much satisfied and highly recommend over all other VOIP providers, especially COMCAST and VONAGE.
