Wow, I tried four times to call Ring…

Wow, I tried four times to call Ring Central to give my business and start a new VOIP connection but it seems customer service never heard of some insurance products to understand what my needs were, that took terrible reception phone calls hearing through echoing, static calls. A representative called me back from the phillipines whom NEVER got back to the 2 calender meetings I requested to set up with no zoom or teams or software links to meet. THEN, I called to leave voicemail, phone call, and then customer service again and here I am with no service…I will probably stay with my current vendor. Disapointing experience when I was ready to sign up and have them take my money…fairly happy I have yet to do that. They need a real team in the USA…not the Phillipines with lousy “employees” who received basic training and no idea how to serve insurance owners for a voip product.

We switched to RingCentral from 8×8…

We switched to RingCentral from 8×8 because I needed a company that we can actually speak to and get through to. I was assured that a live person is always available and the longest wait they have experienced is around 20 minutes, which is totally acceptable. During the implementation process, this was true. It wasn’t the smoothest transition in the world but it was fine. Since then we have received two unauthorized charges that were never discussed. I have called 5 times and left a message. None of them have been returned. I emailed our sales rep who said, “call or email any time with questions or concerns” three times with no response. I am now having to dispute the charges with our credit card company. Aside from being a huge frustration, it an enormous waste of my time, which I don’t have extra of. I will say we have not had any problems with the service itself. We are happy with that and the extra features that RingCentral offers, but if you care about customer service and upfront pricing you should probably look at some other companies.

RingCentral MVP was very easy to set…

RingCentral MVP was very easy to set up, extremely easy to administer and 100% reliable for our company. I definitely recommend for small business to large enterprise. Our users love the flexibility to use the mobile app and being able to flip from PC to Mobile. As a seasoned Telecom Engineer, this is by far the best VoIP solution I have ever used.

The interface is good and relatively…

The interface is good and relatively intuitive for a voip. We were planning on switching from DialPad, which has very good customer support but a confusing interface for a small business. I have been on the phone for nearly two hours now with Ring Central- before I got a person.(I called the previous day and was told to expect a call back – never came). I purchased several lines, which it turned out had limited texting (they appear to try to nickel and dime you to death) so I talked to someone and purchased additional texting. Turns out they sold me something I did not need and I did not get additional texting. I sit here on the phone for the past two hours and am told my bill will double to have sufficient texting for our needs about 1k texts a month. To be clear most of the people who I did talk with were professional and did a good job. It is a system issue that I seem to have experienced as well as some staff who did not understand me or did not understand the system. I am continuing my search for a system that has a similar user friendly interface but that does business in a transparent and professional matter – and where customer service is not an afterthought.

I really like the app feature because I can text and call on the computer. It makes it easier to check the voicemail because you can pause and move it back and forth. also you can add new numbers and contacts and use them to connect with you other co workers. I wish i could call form my app to my office line but that is no problem.

I’ve had a good experience the only thing is with picture messages not being able to see them or save them is the only feature I wish was fixed for this and being able to save contacts with the Google extension sometimes that has problems syncing info from the ring central desktop version to the ring central google extension

Overall great service. Very good quality of the calls and I had a good experience with the support team. Good platform on the computer with many options easy to navigate and make changes. One thing that I am not very happy with is how the calls are received. Usually it is supposed to go a phone on my desk, then ring on my cell after a few seconds. The caller instantaneously gets a music while on hold until I answer either on my desk or my cell. Some people as soon as they hear the prompt music, they hang up. Also it is quite complicated to set some of the configurations. There are still messages that I receive going to an old phone number instead going to my cell or my ring central platform. Maybe that is something to do with my organization that I’m not sure but I am still having a hard time to set that up. With the pros and cons it is a good service and I would keep using it and would recommend it. Still some improvements that can be made though.

I also like that it has a fax option, I don’t have to use my external fax program any longer. The messaging has all the features that I would want including pinned conversations and everyone uses the emote icons often. I can’t figure out how to add a person to a current conversation, which would be nice to use. Overall a very efficient program.

Have had a good experience with Ring Central so far especially while working from home and allowing it to be easy to stay in touch and have good communication with my peers. Only thing that sometimes happens is the screen goes white and have to reload screen to come back on. Aside from that no other issues.
