We been using ringcentral fax for…

We been using ringcentral fax for years In 2018 there was a huge hike on rates from $135/year to $243.94/year (almost double). When asked about hike was told that there are added features that we could not make sense of or see them helping us in any way. Come 2019 there is another hike $420.22 when I complained I was told they will make some changes/adjustments that were never made. NOTE : we never authorized that payment to be put through as we never agreed to those charges. I called multiple times and emailed as well everytime long holds and then that someone will call me back or contact me soon. We had it enough last month and chose to change the provider. Not only we disagreed to the new charges but we never had use to new package features. We only use it for fax and we communicated so many times. So in plain and simple language I am hugely disappointed and offended by the way ringcentral has dealt with us in last 4 years.

Since getting this service we have…

Since getting this service we have struggled. Constantly “working” on problems and dropped calls. Our incoming cue still does not work right – a year into service. Customer support is HORIBLE! For one problem it took me over a month to get an answer and fix. I had to keep complaining and asking for management. When you call customer service they will not give you a direct answer but will talk forever about anything else. And make sure you read the fine print on the contract! They get you locked into 36 months and if you add a line and then don’t need it you have to keep it for the whole contract too.

Previously I would have recommended this company with no hesitation, now they have decided that their new app is the way to go – new app – no instruction – nothing. I cannot do anything with the new app that is easy – they have made it so complicated and no instructions.. Save yourself a headache don’t download the app

RING CENTRAL USED TO BE GREAT!! NOT…

RING CENTRAL USED TO BE GREAT!! NOT ANYMORE!!! Now they do NOT care when your phones are down, and nobody knows WHAT THEY ARE DOING or how to fix things. EVERY agent is at home and is not tech 2 support so don’t think you will get urgent help if your phones are down like mine! My phones are down for so long and so many disconnected calls on my customers and no voicemails coming in and so many problems I can’t list them. You would think that since its a phone system running peoples business that they would have QUALITY support WRONG!!!! They act like they have all these features but they do not work reliably every-time they have a new GLIP APP or a NEW update literally everything breaks!!! This has happened so many times and I am EXHAUSTED!!! The problems I have are SIGNIFICANT are costing me my CLIENTS!!!! THIS COMPANY NEVER FIXES THINGS!!!!!! They continually BREAK THINGS more! But nobody will call me to fix our phones!

Very reliable and great support. Does everthing we need, from faxing, meetings, phones. It is a communication package that fits the needs of our medium size business. Maintaining the phones can be done by anyone willing to call ring central support. Ring Central support has not disappointed at any point.

I’ve had RingCentral since I started…

I’ve had RingCentral since I started my small business and have found it meets all my needs — calls, voice messaging, text, video mtgs, faxing. The service quality is great and I have everything in one pkg rather than having multiple servicers. Extensions are available and each user can set up their own voicemail and redirect calls if needed. They provide training videos and online live meetings so you can ask questions. I even have my own account rep at my beckoning.

Everything o.k. except they will lie…

Everything o.k. except they will lie through their teeth to get you to pay for a higher priced package even if you do not need it. When I asked to downgrade to lees expensive package they said I used more toll minutes and would end up paying more – but I do not make any toll calls – then they tried to say I use all kinds of fax minutes – but I do not send any faxes. Beware they lie!

I use RingCentral video and…

I use RingCentral video and unfortunately have a consistently poor experience – ongoing audio issues, there’s often confusion around the invites and connection URLs, the admin side is horribly confusing (I think they have three different administrative interfaces??) and the other week I was locked out of my account for hours because of a glitch in their platform that didn’t allow me to login nor reset my password. I had to call support to have them work on it from their side…and I will say their support is the only halfway decent experience I’ve had – kudos to getting something right. I don’t know anything about their phone or other solutions, but until RC gets their platform in better shape I would recommend against using their videoconferencing.

I would avoid RingCentral at all costs…

I would avoid RingCentral at all costs if your business depends on reliable telephone service. They provide amazing support during the evaluation period. But once the contract starts, the support goes to nearly nill. Their software team repeatedly releases bug infested software, and frequently features and functions that use to work, e.g. interfacing with Google calendar, no longer works. They don’t claim to provide support faster than 48 hours turnaround, but when they do contact within the 48 hours, the runaround begins. Completely plan to move away from RingCentral the moment my contract expires. BEWARE!!

International call rates

Now, the Essential plan ($19.99/user/month) should cover the basics for modern phone systems, however, you’re limited to 10 users, 100 toll-free minutes per month, and you miss out on some of the features. The Premium plan ($39.99/user/month) will get you access to all features, but you don’t get as much user access & free minutes as with the Ultimate plan ($49.99/user/month).

As we can see, the more expensive plan offerings allow businesses to host more members in meetings, more toll-free minutes, and access to more advanced features such as multi-site support, CRM integration, automatic call recording and more.

Additionally, businesses can expand their system with additional local phone numbers at these rates:

Ringcentral pricing Expansion

Overall, RingCentral Office is a powerful all-in-one tool for business communication, and there are tons of useful features available with both essential & ultimate plans.

If your business doesn’t require all this technology, you can instead choose to invest in some of the products that are offered individually. They have plans tailored to offer products for specific needs, and you get the chance to spend less money each month.

RingCentral Meetings

RingCentral Meetings is the first individual product that offers you the ability to host & experience high-quality online meetings with dozens of team members from multiple devices. In short, Meetings allows you to create a call group with over 100 participants, share screens & apps, chat, use a whiteboard, annotations, and much more. You get access to HD video, multiple device support, team messaging, and additional add-ons.

If you require this individual product, Meetings comes at three separate pricing tiers:

  • Free — $0/user/month
  • Essentials — $14.99/user/month
  • Advanced — $19.99/user/month

All three plans come with different features, more minutes, longer meeting durations, and the decision comes down to your team’s needs.

Let’s take a look at features from each of the three plans:

  • Mobile App: Available for iOS and Android.

Editor’s Bottom Line of RingCentral

With more than 350,000 small business customers, RingCentral has been a favorite among VoIP review sites, and with more than 2,500 employees the provider continues to innovate both with its in-house team and by making deals with smart companies.

One of the best moves it made was partnering with Zoom, enabling HD quality video conferences with large numbers of participants. Formerly, this was only available with huge hardware, some of which even required a dedicated room. Now laptop or tablet is all you need.

That offering was a game changer that few other providers could compete with. RingCentral has had a big head start over today’s VoIP startups, yet the company is always looking forward rather than resting on its laurels. Every few years, the provider finds a way to reinvent itself and stay fresh.

It’s hard to say anything bad about RingCentral, but they do seem a little vanilla – vanilla, of course, is the most popular flavor of ice cream, so that’s good for most. RingCentral tends to avoid the bleeding edge and sticks to software and hardware with a proven track record.

If you want a great VoIP experience, you can’t go wrong with this company.
