It’s so nice to have a phone service that I can trust to not only provide a top service but who also cares about the user. I can’t imagine being with any other provider. You can trust them! The sounds is clear, the cost is soooo affordable and it was very easy to get started. I don’t leave reviews very often, but I had to here! :)

I have been using VOIPO for years. …
I have been using VOIPO for years. Went to them from Magicjack which was total JUNK and very unreliable. The VOIPO service the first few years was very reliable. Worked and we had no issues. You have to watch them because they AUTO reNEW you at CRAZY rates.. basically at 2 to 3 times what you were paying. Threaten to leave and they drop their prices. That’s just a PAIN.. but if you renew for multi years it does not happen too often.. Lately the service has been very unreliable. Calls can not some in, calls can not go out. Works sometimes, does not work most of the time. NO real tech support.. ONLY email and they respond when and if they want to.
DO not recommend… Will not be renewing service when it expires. Looking for better option or will just go 100% cell.

I could have written many of the Voipo reviews I’ve seen here. My story is so similar. I was a customer for 9-10 years – most of which were well above average. Periodically, the voip adapter would get flaky and I’d restart it. I chalked it up to doing business with a small company with low prices. Things got worse in the past year, culminating in an multi-month outage. Like others here, I didn’t realize the phone wasn’t working right away. At least 2 months went by with no service. It felt like my support ticket was being passed around the team – with each new cycle starting with the same fruitless troubleshooting. All this with the backdrop of ‘apology emails’ from the president of the company. “Sorry about this challenging infrastructure upgrade…bla bla bla.” I finally cut my ties around New Years, opting for Ooma. When I closed my account, they refused to refund my unused balance – about a year’s worth. They claim the ‘fine print’ of the contract indicates discounted services revert to full price under an early termination. i.e. their 2-for-1 annual service fee only covered 1 year for me since I didn’t finish out the 2nd year. Awfully convenient. Of course, I didn’t have a copy of said ‘fine print’ since the renewal confirmations don’t include that text. Whatever.
Upside – Ooma’s quality is MUCH better for a similar price. I will say Voipo offered more features at a low price point (Ooma offers the same – but only in their premium plan).

I have been with these guys for about 9 years now. When I first started using them the service was much better than it is now. My service constantly stops working in the last 2 years. I only find out when i have not received a phone call in a month or so and i pick up the phone and realize there is no dial tone or when i try calling my house to reach my kids and it rings 1 time then you get a busy signal. Then i have to reset everything to get it back working again. unfortunately it doesn’t last more than a month before it goes down again. It’s very annoying and pisses me off. My equipment is about 8 years old and probably needs to be replaced but they refuse to do it unless i pay for it. I would have thought the $200 i paid for 2 years of service was my payment.
They only provide phone support M-F during normal hours. I work, so when i get home is when i realize the phone doesn’t work. well guess what, your out of luck if you need support. you can’t call during the day unless you took the day off and are home because they want you to be in front of the equipment to reset it. When my service is up, I defiantly will not be renewing with them. i wish Sun Rocket was still around as they provided the best VOIP service i have ever used.
VOIPO is terrible and i would say to steer clear unless you want to have a phone service that never works and enjoy spending hours on your CELL phone(at least Verizon is reliable) trying to reach their customer service!

I have been with Voipo for about 10 years. For a few years they were OK while I kept hoping they would get the bugs worked out. It was not to be. They have consistently gone down hill. We were without service for about a month last fall. If everybody has to call to get something fixed as often as I do most of their overhead must be support staff.

I joined VoIPO since 2013 and I’ve only had minor issues a few times. The website portal is pretty much nice and has a lot of features that’s I haven’t see before. I can forward easily the calls to my cell phone when I go out of town.
highly recommended. Also, I will refer to everyone on this website.
Was a VOIPO customer since 2014. In…
Was a VOIPO customer since 2014. In November during a data center migration, their entire system went down and took over a month to fully restore. During this time we did not have access to inbound or outbound service on our main phone number or 911 services and were not given ETAs or refunds for services that were unavailable due to their error. This is documented on their Twitter. It was shocking that they had so little understanding of their own hardware, software, and infrastructure that they were unable to restore this within a timely manner. In exchange for the outage, they provided a single extra month of service, an 8$ value, and only available for customers who didn’t need their line and thus didn’t port out. All in all — there are many far better run, transparent, sophisticated, and stable VOIP services out there.
I have been with Voipo since 2015 and…
I have been with Voipo since 2015 and have been very satisfied. They did have some problems in this past year that have been resolved. Voipo did send us a summary of the problems and were very attentive to our needs.
In the past, I have contacted them for help in using some of the features and they responded very quickly.
I highly recommend them.
Do not use Voipo.Owner Timothy Dick…
Do not use Voipo.
Owner Timothy Dick failed to disclose a know breach of accounts all data, texts and phone calls, because of this, systems were down for months causing losses, and breaching his fiduciary responsiblity. Horrible customer service. They would not answer phones for months, nor return any support. They will not offer refunds as all.
There are many other high quality VOIP services. Mr. Dick, appears to be running his business hard nosed, versus what he claims customer service is our priority. Thye have no consciousness for the damages they have cause.
For the last 2 months service has been…
For the last 2 months service has been sporadic to just downright not working for days at a time. Customer support is hard to get, they send out the same form letter response when you notify them of a problem and blame the customer for their failures. I’ve ported over one number to a different service provider because customers could not get in touch with me. I am about to do the same with the home line.
