My Skype experience has been positive. I do not really use it as my sole method for communication, as not all my regular contacts have skype. I can use skype from my smartphone, tablet, and desktop. The data sync works from all devices, which I love.

Skype offers rates by locations as well as premium account options for group video calling and unlimited calling. These premium accounts start at $4.99 a month. In addition to a wide variety of offerings, the provider offers extensive support via How To Guides, FAQs, Installation and Upgrading help, connection help, and sound and video help. Skype is available on a variety of devices including computer, mobile, tablet, TV and Blu Ray, Home Phones, and gaming consoles. Users can also choose to sync or use Skype with Microsoft and/or Facebook accounts.
