Women in the Channel (WiC), a women’s organization designed to help women progress and move forward collectively, has announced its list of Board Members/Committee Chairs for 2013. Amongst its announced members is OnSIP Marketing Director, Nicole Hayward. Hayward has been appointed Board Member/Committee Chair-Technology of Women in the Channel.
Since earning her degree in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Hayward has made strides in the web software management and marketing fields. In doing this, Hayward became OnSIP Business VoIP’s Marketing Director. With OnSIP, Hayward continues to steer a number of initiatives for company sales, as well as the award-winning VoIP Reseller Program. While professional qualifications would have been enough to supplement her WiC appointment, Hayward is also a team leader for the nonprofit organization, New York Cares, which is based out of Brooklyn, NY.
With her impressive repertoire, few can deny Hayward’s recent appointment. When commenting on the announcement, Hayward stated, “I am proud to be a part of an organization that supports women in Telecom, a highly male-dominated field. Women in the Channel is a great outlet for us to network, learn, generate new business, and form friendships in the field. I plan to continue to lend my time and efforts in supporting WiC, and I hope other telecom businesses will consider supporting this constructive pioneering nonprofit.”
The WiC was established in 2010 and defines itself as being “a grassroots organization made up of women who are in the leadership, ownership, and revenue gathering roles in the alternate sales channel sector of the telecommunications industry.” 2013 marks the first year in which the organization has formed and elected a Board of Directors.
