David Tucker, vice president and general manager of Cisco’s Small Businesses Business Unit (SBBU–that is not a typo) will deliver the afternoon keynote speech on Wednesday, October 3, at 4:00 PM, according to TMC.

At the Austin Expo, expect Mr. Tucker to talk about the impact that mobile devices and cloud applications are having, shaping the trends in the SMB markets. “These new technologies and services allow businesses to quickly adjust and streamline their business practices and processes,” said Tucker.

Tucker is responsible for Cisco Connect division, which links together business switching, routing, and cloud storage. The connect division, which is targeted at small business owners, delivers a diverse product portfolio of voice systems, phones, video, and UCC. Cisco Connect is also designed to work with other Cisco products ensuring smooth scalability and continued brand loyalty.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Tucker was the Vice President of the Connected Office Business Organization (COBO) for Cisco’s Linksys division. He has been with Cisco since 1998, when Selsius Systems was acquired by Cisco. As the co-founder, president, and CEO of Selsius Systems, he helped pioneer voice and data network convergence.
