OnSIP continues to dazzle and discount in the VoIP world, with their latest move benefiting those interested in subscribing to their service. As of June 26, new OnSIP customers may port their phone number for a low price of $15 per DID (number). The decrease to a flat fee is in response to feedback from current OnSIP customers, resellers, and the internal team. 

Porting with OnSIP is a simple, three step process: Submit a port request within the OnSIP admin portal, fax your most recent phone bill, and finally, review and sign a Letter of Authorization. OnSIP will provide you with temporary phone numbers during this period to ensure forwarding. Once the number porting is complete, cancel service with your old provider to proceed exclusively as an OnSIP customer. Expect to wait as few as 10 days or 3-6 weeks to port your number – it all depends on your current carrier. 

If you are in fact porting from more than 5 carriers or providers, you may be subject to an administrative fee of $30 per carrier/provider above 5. OnSIP assures they'll inform of any possible additional charges prior to submitting your port to their vendors. Their support team is standing by should you have any questions. The change to a low flat rate makes it even easier to make the conversion to VoIP, saving you money in the long-term and eliminating that pricey ol' phone system for good.
