We went through a pretty thorough search for a VOIP provider. There is a TON of noise out there. Our finalists came down to Ring Central and Jive.
1. Jive is an American company that does no off-shoring. We are a software company and are always tempted to take our service and support off shore. Monetarily it makes sense but in the end you get what you pay for. When I call for support I really don't want to be talking to India.
2. Setup was relatively easy. We had some problem with one phone and it was immediately replaced. A few hiccups here and there but they were moved through smoothly.
3. Call quality is excellent. Administration could not be easier.
Very patient, clear and precise training and easy system to set up and use, even for a none technical person like me. They even followed up to ensure no problems. Admin panel gave me full control over being able to monitor all calls being made and received and restrict international calls ensuring I didnt get any additional monthly costs. Being able to record all the calls was a huge help and I even got an email when I missed a call or was left a message. Certainly the best VOIP and softphone service I have used. Well done RC and thank you
I had JoiPhone for a few years. Several times I had issues with calling certain numbers that they tried to solve but really couldn't. The problems eventually cleared themselves. In Oct of 2013, while my family was visiting from up north, I lost capability to receive inbound calls. People calling me would get an invalid number message. After many phone calls to customer service and threatening to drop their service, they fixed the problem. 5 DAYS LATER! In Jan 2014, I ported my number to VOIPo and cancelled JoiPhone.
JoiPhone refused to give me a refund of the 3 months of unused service from a yearly contract. They have written their term of use agreement so that it sounds like you could get a refund but you really can't. Besides the issues I listed, the call quality is poor and noisy. Since I switched, the difference in call quality is night and day and half the cost. Also, the caller ID is much more accurate with VIOPo. Don't buy JoiPhone service unless you just love to be frustrated and angry.
The support that i have gotten over the years with this company is of the utmost best. The flow of great service, the quality of the support team, and not to exclude your billing department who has been there for me in every way, even at my darkest times of paying my bills on time, they were there in the trenches with me to see me come through. Reminds me so much of some of my buddies back in South East Asia during the Vietnam war. They are there to help me. Thank you guys so much for keeping my lines open to get some business on my end.
As a small media company, we were looking for a business communication service that fits our tight budget. Right now, Nextiva is an important part of our everyday operations be it receiving faxes, booking hotels, or scheduling interviews. What makes things even more useful for us is that all these services are available regardless of our presence in the office. All these services are easy to use, and backed up by a proactive support team. Thanks a lot, Nextiva!
Fast, friendly, professional service. The nicest people working to help you no matter how big or small your issues are! Wish we would have found RingCentral sooner!
This is our third VOIP provider. We love Jive....best one yet.
Phone calls are getting through and the call quality is pretty clear. Service offers lots of features, which is more than I use. The service is much cheaper than my landline company.
I'm happy to report that every time I've called 8x8, I've had a 10/10 experience, including this most recent call. I've never had to hold for a tech. And every tech I've worked with has been US-based and had an excellent understanding of the 8x8 software and hardware. My issue has been resolved in an extremely efficient manner every time I've called. Some of the 8x8 setup and maintenance can be a bit daunting - even for someone with computer and electronics experience. If the phone support wasn't as good as it was, I wouldn't have the faith that I have in 8x8 and probably would have moved on to another solution by now. And all the support that I've talked to is US-based. No offense to anyone overseas, but I consistently have a better experience on support calls with a US-based tech.
